Anton Bartholet Founder Bartholet
*8.1.1938 – †22.12.2023

His foresight extends over generations and therefore far beyond his death - we are left with gratitude.
What remains is his life's work, on which we can continue to build, always with respect for his impressive creative power.

From the 2019/20 winter season, the system will be ready for operation on the Gstaad Eggli. After Narvik (NO), this is Bartholet's second 10-seater gondola lift. The facility is equipped with 20 luxurious gondolas and carries 1,200 passengers per hour. The gondolas are characterised by laminated safety glass and a generous interior design including benches, intercom, WLAN equipment as well as interior and exterior lighting. The battery required for this is installed in the floor of each gondola.

The 3.2-kilometer-long 8-seater gondola lift from Flumserberg Tannenboden to the Maschgenkamm ridge leads over 20 supports and overcomes a height difference of around 600 meters. The lift, equipped with 105 gondolas, has a transport capacity of 2,400 passengers per hour. One of the gondolas was specially designed for Swissartexpo. The artist collective RatAess from Vorarlberg opens up a completely new perspective on the gondola with various mirror elements.

Around two billion euros were invested in the creation of the new Vadistanbul quarter, which was built near the Galatasaray Istanbul stadium. An important part of this huge project is the funicular railway, which connects the business and residential quarter with Istanbul's underground. This widely acclaimed project was a big step forward for Bartholet in many ways. The company's first funicular railway was built and the product portfolio was significantly expanded.
