      Funitel
A Funitel is a gondola lift with two parallel ropes, on which the cabins are coupled with a very short hanger. The distance between the hoisting ropes is slightly greater than the cabin width, therefore they have a very high wind stability and can transport up to 4000 persons per hour. There are two types of Funitel. One with two endlessly spliced hoisting ropes and one drive and one rope tensioning unit per rope. The second variant is realised with an endlessly spliced winding rope and is implemented via a double-grooved sheave with several drives or two separate drives.
