InnoTrans 2022 — International Trade fair for Transport Technology
Together we are shaping the mobility of tomorrow
InnoTrans is the leading international trade fair for transport technology, held every two years in Berlin. More than 3,000 exhibitors from 60 countries met in the approximately 40 halls of the Berlin exhibition center with five trade fair segments. From all over the world, around 150,000 trade visitors streamed to Berlin for the latest edition of the industry get-together.
True to the motto "Together we are shaping the mobility of tomorrow", Bartholet Maschinenbau AG from Flums presented the world innovation ROPETAXI in the ropeway application area at this year's InnoTrans, which offers new possibilities in urban transport development with specific advantages.
Due to its long service life and lower CO2 emissions, a ropeway is already one of the most environmentally friendly means of transport in the world. The new ROPETAXI technology is also characterized by significantly lower energy consumption.
Around the world, large cities are drowning in traffic chaos every day. Ropeways alone cannot solve the congestion problem, but urban ropeway concepts are gaining ground worldwide. Cleverly used, ropeways offer various advantages over conventional means of local transport. They do not compete with road or rail, but complement them in a sensible way and can be integrated relatively easily into existing local public transport systems. The use of ropeways should be examined in any case for future transport policy master plans of cities.
