Inclined lifts
An inclined lift is generally a passenger and freight lift with an inclined carriageway, designed to overcome a distance in height. Inclined lifts are generally equipped with cabin doors. This prevents the retraction of limbs or the wedging of loads (e.g. prams) against the passing outer wall. In order to keep the power consumption of these systems as low as possible, a counterweight is usually used for inclined lifts. The drive can be arranged either at the top or at the bottom.
