First Bartholet 10-passenger gondola lift in Italy

Efficient, simple and elegant - the new Bartholet 10-passenger gondola lift in the Piedmontese ski and holiday resort of Prato Nevoso. With an inclined length of 1,463 meters, the lift will transport around 1’800 people per hour from next winter. Within around five minutes, the lift overcomes 13 towers and 377 metres of altitude difference at a maximum speed of six metres per second. The new ropeway in the Ligurian Alps is Bartholet's first 10-passenger gondola lift in Italy.

Construction work progressing

The 13 track foundations were completed in August. The concrete work at the bottom station has been completed and the work at the top station will be finished in September. At the beginning of September, the delivery and assembly of the towers as well as the installation of the bottom station took place. The delivery date for the top station is scheduled for mid-September. In summer, 12 of the 43 gondolas will be equipped with suspension devices to ensure optimum transport of bikes. In addition, ski holders make it easy to transport ski and snowboard equipment. In order to increase the anticipation, a personal inspection of the new gondola can be made on site in Prato Nevoso. The installation with a track of 6.45 metres can be extended to a capacity of up to 53 gondolas and 3000 people per hour.

Comfort and highest Swiss quality

Located near Monte Mondolè, the ropeway is characterised not only by the modern panoramic gondolas in the "Design by Porsche Design Studio", but also by its high-quality technical components from the latest generation of "Swiss Performance" ropeways from Bartholet. A station entrance sprung on both sides enables a gentle and quiet ride experience. The Swiss Performance clamp from Bartholet convinces with its robust and maintenance-free design. The modular design reduces the construction time due to quick assembly on site. The new gondola lift replaces the historic Rosso chairlift in the Mondolè Ski ski resort, which with 130 km of pistes is one of the ten largest ski resorts in Italy and one of the most famous ski resorts in Piedmont. The mountain station is the ideal starting point for breath-taking descents on skis, snowboards, mountain bikes or hikes.
