Bartholet Awarded Contract for New Cable Car Systems

Bartholet Maschinenbau AG is pleased to announce that the contract to construct three new cable car systems in Gstaad has been awarded to Bartholet.

The project comprises three lots and was initially tendered in early 2024:

Cable Car 1: A 10-passenger gondola lift from Schönried to Horneggli - Hornberg, consisting of two sections with an intermediate station.
Cable Car 2: A 6-seater chairlift connecting Saanenwald to Horeflue.
Cable Car 3: A chairlift linking Gfell to Horeflue.
Negotiations took place in June 2024, and Destination Gstaad AG awarded the contract for the cable car technology to Bartholet.

Matthias In-Albon, CEO of Bergbahnen Destination Gstaad AG, expressed his enthusiasm: "With Bartholet, we have found a partner that meets our high standards for quality and innovation. This contract is a significant milestone for our generational project and provides the necessary planning security."

With these new cable cars, Gstaad continues its long tradition in tourism, seamlessly integrating it with the latest technology.
