HighLights – Cologne Bonn Airport
A further 7 lighting masts were refurbished by Bartholet Maschinenbau AG at Cologne Bonn Airport and equipped with LED floodlights, 5G modules for faster wireless data transmission, as well as surveillance cameras. Four masts were fitted with the innovative automated lowering system. This system ensures interference-free power supply as well as Ethernet and fibre-optic (FO) signal transmission by means of self-centring plug connections. Thanks to LED technology with high LUX output, the new lighting masts provide optimal lighting conditions on the apron. The innovative lowering system significantly simplifies maintenance and servicing work, can be operated by a single person, and meets the stringent requirements of current occupational safety and aviation regulations.
Scope of services: Dismantling of the existing masts, supply and installation of the masts with and without lowering system.
Special features: Lowering systems including FO transmission for 5G modules; works carried out during active flight operations.
