Project update: Milk-ropeway Fidaz

After a week-long standstill of all rope installation work due to severe weather conditions and more than 1.5 meters of fresh snow, we were finally greeted with perfect weather this week—and made full use of it. On the construction site of the Milchbahn Fidaz, another key project milestone has been reached:

The carrying ropes have been successfully pulled, professionally socketed, and already pre‑tensioned. In the coming days, the haul- rope will follow—step by step, the project continues to gain momentum.

This site offers no mountain access and no conventional infrastructure at elevation. Neither the mountain station nor the towers can be reached from the valley by normal means. This means that all rope installation work is carried out exclusively by helicopter—making the entire process fully dependent on suitable weather windows.

This makes the performance of our team all the more impressive. Under challenging conditions, our Team work with the highest level of precision, professionalism, and remarkable dedication. A heartfelt thank‑you to everyone contributing to this progress!

With every completed project step, anticipation continues to grow:
From mid‑May onward, the ropeway will again be used for alpine farming operations- Milk transportation.
And a little later—after the Fidaz village festival—it will also open for tourist operations for the first time.

A new mountain experience above Fidaz is taking shape—and we will keep things moving!
