New project in the Valais Alps

Construction work has begun on the new 6-seater chairlift Lac des Vaux in the 4 Vallées ski area. Replacing the existing 2-seater installation, the new lift will deliver noticeable improvements in terms of comfort, capacity and operational efficiency.

• Transport capacity: 1600 passengers per hour
• 28 chairs
• Line length: 735 m

The new lift is located in a scenic and snow-reliable area. Its altitude allows for a long ski season. The mountain station is situated on a narrow ridge, making construction particularly challenging due to limited space and the exposed location. The chairs have been specially designed for windy conditions, featuring a cut-out in the backrest to reduce wind resistance.
