New 8-passenger panoramic gondola lift in Yixing, China

On 27.09.2024, the new 8-passenger panoramic gondola lift in Yixing Bamboo Sea Park in China was officially approved by the authorities.

The park is located in the southern mountains of Yixing in eastern China and is often referred to as the Sea of Bamboo, as it is characterized by dense bamboo forests forming an emerald-green landscape.

This area is a popular tourist destination that harmoniously combines natural beauty, spiritual Zen culture, regional diversity, the world of ceramics and a deep-rooted bamboo culture. It is regarded as a representative example of the unique bamboo landscape, the distinctive atmosphere of bamboo and its cultural significance in China.

A total of 25 cabins designed by Studio F. A. Porsche are in operation, offering generous space and a high level of comfort. The ropeway not only improves accessibility within the park but is itself an attraction. With a vertical rise of 400 meters and a length of 1.4 kilometers, it allows visitors to fully enjoy the unique landscape. The capacity is now 1.200 passengers per hour.
