In Construction Begins on the New Detachable 6-Seater Chairlift Les Chottes – La Meina – Greppon Blanc in the 4 Vallées
With the new chairlift, the destination is making a targeted investment in its infrastructure and reinforcing its position as one of Europe’s leading ski destinations. The new installation will replace three existing ski lifts and create a high-capacity, continuous connection between key areas of the resort. As a result, transport capacity will be increased, waiting times reduced, and visitor flow significantly improved.
The Nendaz–Veysonnaz–Verbier region is part of the internationally renowned 4 Vallées ski area and is known for its wide range of winter and summer activities. The new connection between Les Chottes, La Meina, and Greppon Blanc will play an important role within this extensive ski area. It will enable more efficient traffic flows and help create an even more seamless and comfortable experience for visitors.
From a technical perspective, the installation is designed for maximum performance and flexibility. Different operating modes allow the system to be adapted to varying levels of demand, from quieter days to peak periods during the winter season. Modern 6-seater chairs provide space for six passengers and combine comfort with contemporary design. The lift is also prepared for summer operation and can be used for bike transport in the future.
Construction is being carried out under demanding conditions in alpine terrain. In addition to conventional transport methods, helicopter operations are being used, particularly for the installation of the line. This complex logistics concept highlights the high technical and organizational requirements of the project.
Construction and installation work is currently progressing at full speed. Following the planned commissioning in autumn, the new lift is scheduled to open for the 2026 winter season. The new chairlift will create a future-oriented key connection that combines comfort, efficiency, and operational reliability while providing an important boost to the long-term development of the destination.
With this project, new connections are being created – for people, regions, and sustainable tourism in the alpine environment. In the spirit of Bartholet: We move. We connect.
