10-seater gondola lift – Ropetaxi in Flims, Switzerland
After several years of construction, we have successfully completed the Ropetaxi project in Flims (CH). By the end of 2025, one of our most innovative and forward‑thinking ropeway projects will be fully realized, marking a significant milestone in our commitment to pioneering mobility solutions.
The Ropetaxi represents a fully demand‑responsive, interconnected ropeway system, setting new standards in terms of flexibility, disabled access and modern mobility in the Alpine region. The 10‑passenger gondola line spans a total of five sections, running from the valley station in Flims via Foppa and Startgels to the branching station at Segneshütte, and continuing on to the two mountain terminals at Nagens and Ils Cugns. Through this route, the system provides exceptionally efficient and environmentally friendly access to the renowned Tectonic Arena Sardona – a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site since 2008.
The first two sections were successfully placed into operation as early as December 2023. Over the following two years, all remaining segments were completed step by step and integrated into the overall system. The full opening marks the conclusion of a technically demanding project that is unique worldwide in both concept and execution.
With the completion of the Ropetaxi project, a new chapter in alpine ropeway mobility begins: a system that combines cutting‑edge innovation with sustainable access, offering visitors an entirely new experience of mobility, nature, and mountain sports.
