Inclined Elevators

An inclined elevator is a passenger and goods lift operating on an inclined track, designed to overcome height differences efficiently. Inclined elevators are generally equipped with cabin doors, preventing limbs or objects – such as strollers – from coming into contact with the passing outer wall. To minimize energy consumption, these systems typically use a counterweight. The drive unit can be positioned either at the upper or lower station.
