8-seater gondola lift in Shao Hua Mountain, China

Shao Hua Mountain in Shaanxi Province is renowned for its natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. Forests, rugged rock formations and ancient temples make it a unique destination that is now more accessible and comfortable than ever before.

The highest point of the ropeway is not the mountain station. The line crosses a mountain ridge, while the station itself is located around 200 Meter below. To ensure maximum safety, five rescue ropeways were installed along the alignment, enabling evacuation even in extremely challenging terrain. In the past, the historic temples in the area could only be reached after hours of demanding hiking. Today, visitors can reach them in less than ten minutes by ropeway.

With a rope diameter of 57 mm and towers exceeding 50 Meter in height, the project represented a major technical and logistical challenge. Due to the demanding terrain and complex conditions, construction took almost four years.
