Opening of the cableway on Mount Shao Hua
Our new cableway on Mount Shao Hua is now officially in operation, offering guests a comfortable and unforgettable experience.
The installation transports up to 1500 passengers per hour, extends over almost three kilometres and overcomes a vertical difference of 820 metres. With a 57 mm rope diameter and towers exceeding 50 metres in height, the project represented a major technical and logistical challenge. Due to the demanding terrain and complex conditions, construction took almost four years to complete.
One distinctive feature: the highest point of the cableway is not the mountain station. The line crosses a mountain ridge, while the station itself is located around 200 metres below. To ensure maximum safety, five rescue lines were installed along the route, enabling evacuation even in extremely challenging terrain. In the past, the historic temples in the surrounding area could only be reached after hours of demanding hiking. Today, visitors can reach them in less than ten minutes by cableway.
