Milestone achieved in Varanasi

The rope splicing works for the first section of the ropeway in Varanasi – from Cantt Main Station via the intermediate station Vidya Peeth to Yatra – have been successfully completed. The first test runs have already taken place.

At the same time, the first towers for the second section have been erected. This section, which also includes an intermediate station, will lead to the temple district of Godowlia Chowk near the Ganges.

As India’s first urban ropeway, this project will significantly relieve traffic congestion in Varanasi and provide the city with a modern and efficient mobility solution.
