Construction update from Muttrah, Oman

In Muttrah, a historic port city near Muscat, construction of a new cableway is progressing rapidly.

This project is among the most ambitious initiatives in Oman’s tourism sector and is set to enhance the region’s appeal.

The cableway consists of two sections with 8-passenger cabins, designed by Studio F. A. Porsche, combining elegance, comfort and functionality.

The valley station is located directly at the harbour, allowing cruise ship passengers to transfer easily to the gondola lift and enjoy breathtaking views of Muttrah, the coastline and the surrounding mountains.

Work on the second section is already well underway: the towers have been installed and the sheave assemblies are in place.
