Bartholet takes part in the reactivation of the Szczawnik ski area in Poland
Bartholet Maschinenbau AG is pleased to announce its cooperation with the PKL Group and the municipality of Muszyna for the reactivation of the Szczawnik ski area. Under the terms of the contract, Bartholet will build a modern ropeway in the new tourist centre of Szczawnik.
In winter, the ski area will operate as a family-friendly ski resort, while in summer it will serve as an attractive tourist destination. In addition to the ropeway, the investment includes the construction of ski slopes, parking facilities, catering infrastructure and further amenities.
The planned Telemix ropeway will be equipped with 20 modern 10-passenger gondolas. In addition, 20 comfortable 6-seater chairs will be installed. The gondolas, designed in Porsche Design by Studio F. A. Porsche, offer panoramic views. A ventilation system and vibration damping enhance passenger comfort. The cabins are barrier-free and suitable for transporting prams.
Markus Menzi, CEO of Bartholet Maschinenbau AG, stated: The ropeway will run from the lower station to the central area of the resort, where various ski slopes for beginners and advanced skiers will be available. The ropeway will have a length of 1500 meters and will operate at a speed of 5 meters per second. Commissioning of the new installation is scheduled for December 2025.
