A new gondola experience on Monte Tamaro

Since September, the new 8-seater gondola lift at Monte Tamaro in Ticino has been in operation. The installation combines modern comfort, advanced technology, and a sustainable energy concept.
Designed by Studio F. A. Porsche, the panoramic cabins are fully accessible, elegantly styled, and equipped with improved ventilation. The stations were built to be slim and efficient, and the number of towers along the line was kept to a minimum to preserve the natural landscape. The drive system is housed in the basement of the mountain station, significantly reducing noise emissions.

An electrically controlled conveyor system ensures smooth boarding, and the mountain station is located directly next to the Alpe Foppa restaurant for easy access.

Sustainability was a priority from the outset: the system is energy-efficient and largely self-sufficient thanks to a photovoltaic array on the roof of the valley station.
We’re proud to have delivered this project – and pleased to see how many guests have already enjoyed the new gondola.
