Group Gondolas

A group gondola lift is a ropeway system in which several groups of two to six gondolas are fixed to a haul rope or a traction rope at short intervals. From a technical standpoint, group circulating ropeways are typically monocable detachable systems, while group aerial tramways are usually bi-cable or tri-cable shuttle systems. Hybrid configurations also exist, such as bi-cable group circulating ropeways. The individual gondolas of a group gondola lift generally offer space for 8 to 15 passengers.
