112 gondolas bringing city and nature closer together

Our Meiling project in the Meiling National Scenic Area is progressing rapidly. The route of this major project, featuring 112 gondolas, starts directly in Nanchang, the capital of Jiangxi Province, passes via an intermediate station and connects the city with nature – lakes, waterfalls and streams, bamboo forests and rice fields.

This 5.5 km-long cableway installation consists of two sections, with the first section, measuring 4.2 km, being particularly impressive. The garage at the valley station is sufficiently large to safely accommodate all 112 gondolas.

Nanchang, an important transportation hub, has long been known for its strategic significance throughout various dynasties and during modern periods of crisis. The panoramic gondolas, designed by Studio F. A. Porsche, lend the city a new visual identity and represent a major tourist attraction, offering visitors breathtaking views and a truly immersive natural experience.
