New Ropeways in the French Pyrenees

In Saint-Lary, the largest ski resort in the French Pyrenees, Bartholet Maschinenbau AG was able to deliver two new lifts in time for the 2022 winter season. Both lifts provide access to the Col du Porte at 2,321 meters above sea level, which is known to cycling enthusiasts as the stage finish of the Tour de France. This approved investment is the largest made in France for the winter of 2022/2023 in the mountain regions.

New 6-seater chairlift to Sommet de la Tourette
The detachable Tourette lift with its 46 chairs in the new 6-seater chair design transports 1,900 guests per hour over a distance of 1,375 m in around 4 minutes.

New 10-seater Espiaube gondola lift

The Espiaube lift with its 60 Spacecab gondolas comfortably transports 2,800 customers per hour over a distance of 1,796 m in less than 6 minutes. The gondolas are stored in the stations when not in use.

The additional planned 6-seater Forêt chairlift from Bartholet will be put into operation in 2023.
